The Merlin Route One Duke Reinforced Motorcycle Jeans have been constructed using 11.5oz Premium Stretch Cotton with additional reinforcements and Water Repellent Water treatment (Huntsman) so that as a rider you wont get soaked through when caught in the rain during a ride.
For rider protection, CE EN1621 Level 2 Knee and Hip Armour has been included, along with pockets for Hip Armour to be added if required. Level 2 means that the maximum transmitted force must be below 9 kN, and no single value shall exceed 12 kN. Due to the high levels of protection on offer from these Jeans, they have achieved CE EN17092 AA Level certification, which means that the protection on offer is suited to touring gear. It specifies two seconds of abrasion resistance in Zone 1 (Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees) at 412.6rpm (about 70km/h), one second at 265.3rpm in Zone 2 (outer arms, torso, legs and feet) and 0.5 seconds at 147.4rpm (the equivalent of around 25kmh) in Zone 3 (inner arms, torso and legs).
Additional features include YKK Zips being used on the Jacket to Jean connection zipper and locking fly zipper.
